テート(Tate)はイギリスの国立美術館です。
ロンドンには
Pimloco Stationから歩いて5分ほどのTate Britain
Blackfriars StationやSouthwark Stationが最寄りのTate Modern
がありましたね。
どちらも観光には必見ですが
モダンアートが好きなので個人的にはTate Modern派でした。
(モダンアートへの知識が試される歌詞でした…)
かつて発電所だった建物自体も面白いですし、
ブランコがあるので鑑賞後余韻に浸るのにぴったりです。笑
イギリスの画家といえばTurner(ターナー)。
Tate ModernやNational Galleryなどで見ることができます。
一応ロマン主義に属しますが印象派好きな人は好きだと思います。
ターナー展日本でもやるみたいなので興味ある方は是非。
